Planned Gifts

If you have remembered The MED Foundation in your will, trust, life insurance policy, and/or other planned gift, thank you! We will work hard to carry forward your legacy of compassion for the citizens of this community.

U.S. tax laws are structured to encourage charitable giving, and unlimited amounts can generally be left for charitable purposes free of estate and gift taxes. And planned giving is not only for the wealthy. Every dollar makes a difference.

Planned gifts can take many forms, but the simplest one is to use your will to leave a fixed dollar amount or percentage of your estate to The MED Foundation as a beneficiary. This gift can provide positive tax savings to you and your estate. It may also enable you to make a more significant gift to The MED Foundation, which will benefit future generations of patients. Your attorney and tax advisor can help you to determine the most appropriate planned gift instrument for your specific situation.

We strongly suggest that you consult with your attorney or other independent professional advisor to ensure that your plans are in compliance with all applicable laws.

If you are interested in speaking with The MED Foundation regarding a planned gift, please contact the Executive Director, Tammie Ritchey, at (901) 545-8372.
