Mississippi Friends of The MED
“Mississippi Friends of The MED” is a grassroots, nonprofit association of North Mississippi residents who care about preserving access to The MED, recognizing that it is the only level-one trauma center serving North Mississippi.
One of the programs initiated by “Mississippi Friends of The MED” is the “Keep ‘em flying!” license plate. The special tag features the medical helicopter that is used to airlift critical North Mississippi patients to The MED. Each registered Mississippi driver who purchases the plate generates a $24 donation to the Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center.
To contact Mississippi Friends of the MED, send correspondence to Flo Larson Shackelford, MS Friends of The MED, P.O. Box 911, Friars Point, MS 38631.
