Wound Center

Centers-High-Risk-OB3

The Wound Center is a regional referral center for wound care and hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy. The center serves as an outpatient clinic for the treatment of a wide range of acute, chronic and nonhealing wounds including:

  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Failing skin grafts
  • Slow-healing burns
  • Traumatic wounds
  • Venous stasis ulcers

The center also provides wound care and HBO services to inpatients within the hospital complex. The center has a waiting room, six exam rooms and a hyperbaric chamber that accommodates up to 12 patients at a time with a nursing station.

Intensive, continuous care is provided with a multi-disciplinary team approach that includes teaching patients and family members proper techniques for wound and burn care.
